Downloads of RUG Meeting Presentations

System Files You May Need:

The files available for download are either in compressed form (.zip files, to minimize the size and download time), or are MS Word documents (.doc files), MS PowerPoint files (.ppt or .pps files), WordPerfect files (.wpd), Adobe PDF files (), or web files ().

For .zip files, after downloading, you must "unzip" them. To do this you may use any of several unzipping programs. If you need one, you can download either of two free programs:

Follow the directions on the corresponding site to download and install it.

After you download one of the following files (and possibly unzip it), you may need special software to view or use it; see the instructions associated with each file. If you need the PowerPoint viewer and don't have PowerPoint on your system, you may download that free viewer program from a Microsoft site. (Download the viewer).

Downloading The Files:

Only files greater than 1.0 MBytes have their sizes included below. Entries indicated by are .zip files which contain the types of files indicated by the icon after the slash; the size is thus the size of the .zip file. All files are copyrighted by the authors as of the date presented, unless otherwise indicated.

Most of these files are available only to RUG members. Those that are freely available to everybody who visits our website are marked with '*' in front of the date. Most of them deal with UFT or with importing UFT and other genealogy program data into TMG.

If you click on the link and the file does not download properly, an alternate way of obtaining that file is:

1. Right-click on the link,
2. Click the "Save Link As..." choice, and
3. Save the file with an appropriate name.
