As indicated above, the
releases
of ROOTS IV, Family Gathering, Visual Roots, ROOTS V and now Ultimate
Family
Tree has caused our members to seek a change of focus for the
proceedings
of our monthly meetings and the content of our newsletter, to reflect
their
migration to the newer and more powerful product TMG. However, there is
still a hard core of dedicated users of earlier versions, including the
forerunner ROOTS III, who are very satisfied with those products,
as it suits their individual requirements. These members may be
interested
to know that the Portland RUG continues to present some articles on
ROOTS
III in its monthly newsletters. Copies of an earlier set of our video
tapes,
mostly about ROOTS III, have been transferred to the
Portland RUG,
for use by their members. Their dues are now (2002) $10;
inquiries about membership should be directed
to RUG of Portland, c/o Mim Aline, 18415 Deer Oak Circle, Lake Oswego,
OR 97035-7170. If you wish to transfer your membership from the RUG of
ARLINGTON to the Portland RUG, then we will be pleased to pro-rate a
refund
of fees for you. Please advise Dorothy Exley, our membership chairman,
if you choose to do this.
