If you have opted to use
the Ultimate Family Tree (UFT) program and are currently using a
different genealogy program on your computer, you will want some way
to use the data you have already keyed in with UFT. Depending on what
program you are currently using there may be many options available to
you, some of which may seem simple but which may result in some loss
of information. Furthermore, you may wish to retain the option of
using your current program for a while, while you are getting familiar
with UFT. Some choices ("install as an update to...") prevent this. As
background information, you might want to understand the file
structures used by UFT. We suggest you read an article on the subject
which was published in our Newsletter. An updated version of this
article is available on line, to see it click

in the table below which best describes your situation and
desires.
